Punta Gorda Computers is hiring three on-site Computer Technicians to help residential and small-business customers with computer repair, setup, and everyday technology problems. We are looking for dependable technicians who can troubleshoot Windows and Mac computers and explain solutions patiently in plain language. This is part-time, contract work with a flexible schedule and pay starting at $30 per hour. Work takes place at customers' locations. We are recruiting in Charlotte and Sarasota counties. Our broader service area extends from Naples through Sarasota and Bradenton. Please tell us which cities you can reliably cover. What you will do Diagnose and troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware, software, and operating-system problems. Install and configure computers, applications, printers, email, and other peripherals. Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, routers, and basic home or small-business networks. Help resolve malware, virus, and computer-performance problems. Assist with device setup, data transfers, backups, and practical computer tutoring. Explain findings, proposed work, and next steps clearly to customers and coordinate with Stacy. Document work performed and handle customer devices, accounts, and information with care. What we are looking for Hands-on Windows and macOS troubleshooting skills. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability. Patient, professional communication with customers of different technical skill levels. Dependability, clear communication, and the ability to work independently at customer locations. Ability to travel to on-site appointments within your agreed service area. Two years of computer-repair, desktop-support, or help-desk experience preferred. Microsoft certification preferred, but not required. To apply Apply through Indeed with your resume.
