Desktop Support Technician Location:
Sarasota, FL Openings:
2-3 Technicians (1 Senior, 1 Junior/Entry-Level) Job Overview We are hiring Desktop Support Technicians to support a large‑scale Epic MyChart deployment across hospital and clinic locations in Sarasota. This team will assist with workstation readiness, device configuration, MyChart hardware/software installs, end‑user support, and onsite technical troubleshooting during the rollout. This role is ideal for someone who is hands‑on, reliable, and comfortable working in fast‑moving clinical environments. Senior candidates should bring strong enterprise experience; junior candidates should bring foundational IT skills and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities Support the Epic MyChart install project , including workstation setup, device configuration, and application readiness Provide onsite desktop support for hospital and clinic staff during the rollout Troubleshoot Windows OS, hardware, printers, scanners, and peripherals Assist with network connectivity issues (LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) Support Active Directory tasks (password resets, account unlocks, group membership) Use ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira to track work Deploy software, patches, and updates as directed by the project team Document work performed and escalate issues as needed Travel between hospital and clinic locations as required Required Qualifications 1-3+ years of desktop support or help desk experience (Junior candidates may have less if strong technical aptitude is demonstrated) Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments Experience with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, Zendesk, etc.) Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills Ability to work onsite in hospital/clinic environments Preferred Qualifications Epic MyChart or Epic application support experience (highly preferred) Experience supporting clinical users or healthcare environments CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications Experience with VPN troubleshooting and remote support tools Experience supporting enterprise hardware deployments Key Skills Technical troubleshooting Customer service mindset Time management Attention to detail Ability to work independently and with a team Work Environment Hospital and clinic environments Travel between sites required May require occasional after‑hours support Ability to lift 25-50 lbs (equipment, monitors, etc.)Pay:
