Job Description

Mid Florida IT is the most trusted tech firm in Highlands County, supporting small and mid-sized businesses throughout the region. We're looking for an experienced Level 2 Engineer to join our service team and help keep our clients running smoothly, and to grow with us as we expand. This is a full-time, on-site role based at our Sebring office. What you'll do Resolve Level 2 service requests across desktops, servers, networks, cloud, and security. Update and keep meticulous step-by-step documentation. Run smaller projects and partner with the team on larger ones. Administer Microsoft 365 — Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune. Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server, Windows endpoints, and the software that runs on them. Monitor, patch, and automate with our RMM platform. Support client networks — firewalls, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and VPNs. Keep backups healthy with regular test restores, and document your work thoroughly. Log your time accurately and keep clients informed with clear next steps and ETAs. What we're looking for 2-4 years of hands-on IT experience, ideally at an MSP or supporting multiple clients. Experience using AI tools to assist with troubleshooting and script writing. Solid networking fundamentals — TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and Wi-Fi. Experience across Windows Server, Windows desktops, and Microsoft 365. Experience running day-to-day security operations like endpoint protection, MFA, and EDR/XDR alert triage and response. At least one current certification in (or actively working towards) Microsoft 365/Azure, Network+, Security+, or CCNA. Strong written and verbal communication skills and a real desire to help people solve problems. A valid Florida driver's license and a clean driving record. Why you'll like working here Variety — no two days look the same, and you'll work across a wide range of technologies and clients. We have the best clients in Highlands County and we play a vital role in keeping their systems secure, stable, and fast on a day-to-day basis. Room to grow — we're scaling fast, with real opportunity to grow your skills and your role as the company expands. A close-knit team where your work makes a visible difference.
