Job Description

Compass Point an Akima Company is looking for an Associate Computer User Support Specialist to join our team supporting USSOCOM. In this role, you will be a part of an enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) process for USSOCOM locations across several networks and mission-critical applications. Candidate must possess active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance and DoD 8140 certifications along with a combination of education and demonstrated experience/training on networks and applications specific to the
SIE / USSOCOM
enterprise, IT service management, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and other relevant domains. Candidate must be able to work autonomously and exercise independent judgement on resolving complex technical issues without oversight as well as recommending creative/innovative ways to enhance the overall
SIE ITSM.

Responsibilities Provide technical support and administration for enterprise email platforms, user account provisioning, standardized desktop software suites, and government applications using tools such as Remedy, MECM, VMware, ESXi, and NetApp ONTAP. Diagnose and remediate hardware and software issues on end-user systems, execute software deployments and system imaging, and administer access controls for shared file systems. Act as the liaison for the initiation, monitoring, and resolution facilitation of end-user incident management processes. Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to coordinate the management of Incident Reports and Service Requests, ensuring comprehensive documentation, escalation alignment, and resolution tracking in accordance with established service management protocols. Support local registration authority functions. Provide updates on IT incidents, changes, and projects, escalating issues to senior IT teams or vendors as needed. Qualifications Must have DoD 8140-411 Basic certification. Must be able to maintain DoD 8140-411 Basic via continuing education requirements or re- certification. Possess current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Bachelor's degree in a STEM field. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
