$30.00 per hour 26-10342 Job Summary The IT Support Technician provides technical support for computer systems, hardware, software, peripherals, and user accounts under direct supervision. This role performs routine troubleshooting, maintenance, installations, upgrades, and repairs while providing responsive customer service to employees. The technician also supports account administration, system documentation, vendor coordination, and basic user training. Job Responsibilities Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, software, and peripherals. Install and configure computer hardware, software, and peripherals for new employees. Install new software packages and perform software and hardware upgrades. Troubleshoot routine PC, network, hardware, software, and peripheral issues. Maintain user account information, security settings, system groups, and access rights. Support password assignment and related account administration as needed. Coordinate with hardware and software vendors for technical support and service when necessary. Document technical issues, system changes, procedures, and maintenance activities. Assist with the development and maintenance of system documentation and procedure manuals. Facilitate or conduct basic training sessions for employees on software and hardware systems. Provide professional and responsive customer service to end users. Perform other routine IT support duties as assigned. Job Requirements Experience providing technical support, troubleshooting, or maintaining computer hardware and software preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. General knowledge of computer hardware, software, peripherals, and PC operating systems. Basic understanding of user accounts, access rights, security settings, and system groups. Ability to troubleshoot routine hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues. Ability to install and configure computer hardware, software, and peripherals. High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Two-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Ability to work under direct supervision and follow established procedures. Ability to document technical information clearly and accurately. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Two-year degree or related technical education preferred.
