Since 2008, our multidisciplinary team has supported thousands of patients and their families through personalized physical, emotional, and spiritual care. Overview Islands Hospice is seeking a creative, organized, and tech-savvy Media and IT Specialist to support our Oʻahu team. This role will assist with video content, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, follower growth, community and newspaper presence, and media coordination. The position will also support technology inventory, laptop and phone tracking, basic staff setup, internet/phone coordination, and vendor follow-up. This is not an advanced IT repair role. We are looking for someone who enjoys media, storytelling, organization, and technology while supporting the mission of hospice care in the community. We are in search of a dynamic and detail-oriented Media and IT Specialist to enhance our communication and digital presence, managing multimedia content, supporting IT infrastructure, and ensuring seamless integration of technology across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in media production, graphic design, and IT support, with proficiency in industry-standard software. Duties Media Responsibilities Assist with managing and growing Islands Hospice's media presence across LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and other approved platforms. Support the development, scheduling, posting, and monitoring of content that promotes hospice education, community awareness, employee recognition, patient/family education, recruitment, and organizational branding. Assist with increasing followers, engagement, reach, and visibility across approved social media platforms. Assist with video content, including planning, filming, basic editing, posting, and organizing video files. Collaborate with staff to plan filming sessions and coordinate post-production activities to deliver compelling video content that aligns with organizational messaging. Capture and organize approved photos and videos for use in social media, website content, internal communications, recruitment, and community outreach. Create engaging multimedia presentations for internal communications, community outreach, and educational purposes. Identify opportunities for Islands Hospice to be present in community events, health fairs, local publications, online calendars, and professional networks. Support newspaper, community publication, and local media opportunities to enhance Islands Hospice's visibility. Initiate with press releases, community announcements, hospice education articles, advertisements, newsletters, and event-related publicity. Coordinate with leadership and outside marketing or media vendors as needed. Ensure public-facing content is professional, appropriate, accurate, and aligned with Islands Hospice's mission and messaging. Track media performance, including followers, engagement, post reach, video views, website activity, and campaign results. Maintain organized media files, including logos, photos, videos, templates, flyers, graphics, and approved marketing materials. Manage the organization's digital assets by maintaining an efficient media library and ensuring consistent branding across all materials. Update knowledge of emerging media trends and technological advancements to continuously improve content quality and production workflows. IT Coordination Responsibilities Maintain an accurate inventory of company-issued technology equipment, including laptops, desktops, tablets, phones, monitors, printers, hotspots, chargers, accessories, and related equipment. Track assignments, returns, replacements, and conditions of technology equipment for all employees. Assist with onboarding and offboarding technology needs, including equipment preparation, collection, and documentation. Serve as the internal point of coordination for phone systems, internet connectivity, printers, copiers, workstations, conference room equipment, and basic technology setup. Support the Oʻahu office and inpatient units as applicable, including coordination of technology needs at hospice house or inpatient care locations. Coordinate installation, service requests, repairs, changes, and troubleshooting with phone, internet, copier, and IT vendors. Provide basic first-level support for common technology needs, such as device setup, printer access, phone setup, password reset direction, and vendor ticket coordination. Support the organization's IT infrastructure by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining network security, and assisting staff with technical needs. Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate vendor or contracted IT support resource. Maintain organized documentation of equipment inventory, vendor tickets, service requests, account changes, and follow-up items. Support HIPAA-conscious handling of devices, photos, videos, media files, and company information. Provide training or guidance to staff on media tools and basic IT practices to foster a technologically proficient environment. Qualifications Experience with multiple platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn), creating and executing social media campaigns with measurable results Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Proven experience in video editing, photography, videography, and post-production. Knowledge of basic IT support practices including hardware troubleshooting and network management A background or certification in media production or information technology is preferred; relevant experience is essential.

$60,000.00
