SUPV IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST
(NETWORK/INFOSEC) Department of Defense Defense Information Systems Agency DISA- OC/PACIFIC Summary This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service.

This job is open to The public U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Clarification from the agency Open to U.S. Citizens. Duties Maintains and operates the Regional Network Operations and Security Center (RNOSC) supportingUSINDOPACOM
capabilities/services. Directs network assurance capabilities in support of United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) directives and missions, ensuring continuous defense in depth of the DoDIN. Secures, operates and defends the DoDIN supporting Combatant Commanders, Military Departments Operation Centers, DoD and non-DoD Agencies, Joint Staff, and Allies and Partners. Provides conceptual and technical guidance and advice on complex technical and operational matters related to the Division's functions and responsibilities. Directs and oversees the activities of over 100 civilian, military, and contract personnel engaged in operational support for defensive cyber operations, communication networks, and information systems. Requirements Conditions of employment Must be a U.S. Citizen. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service. This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination. In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements overall in 12 months. This position requires the incumbent to travel away from their normal duty station to other locations within the continental United States (CONUS) and/or other locations outside the continental United States (OCONUS) up to 10 percent of the time. The incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 Executive Branch Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon entering the position and annually thereafter. This is a Key Position. This position cannot be vacated during an emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively. This position requires the incumbent to work an alternative or shift work schedule. This is a Mission Essential position. The nature of the position's duties and the organization's operational mission requires the incumbent to physically report to their duty station in certain situations where non-essential employees are excused. This is a drug testing position. Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.Basic Requirements:

Qualifying Experience:
In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must possess qualifying experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: experience directing enterprise network & security operations; directing and managing the 24/7 operations of a large-scale, globally distributed Network Operations Center (NOC) and Security Operations Center (SOC).Volunteer Experience:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of the announcement.- Combination of education and experience is not applicable for this position.
