Job Description

A growing manufacturing and infrastructure-focused company is seeking an experienced IT Service Desk Technician to provide frontline and advanced technical support across office and operational environments. This role is responsible for resolving end-user issues, supporting endpoint systems and shop-floor technology, and ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining efficient IT operations. This position is located in Elk Point, SD. Hours are typically Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Key Responsibilities Provide IT support to end users via phone, email, ticketing system, and in person Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues Handle Level 1 and Level 2 support requests and escalate infrastructure-related issues when necessary Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices Support manufacturing and operational technology including shared devices and workstations Administer user accounts, permissions, and access requests within Microsoft environments Maintain IT asset inventory and document incidents, requests, and resolutions Assist with hardware refreshes, software deployments, and other IT projects Create and maintain support documentation and knowledge base articles Provide excellent customer service while managing multiple priorities effectively Qualifications & Skills Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered 3-5 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support environments Experience supporting manufacturing or operational environments preferred Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and organizational skills Experience with Microsoft technologies, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management tools Ability to manage time effectively and work independently or collaboratively Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus Additional Information Full-time, exempt position Primarily onsite role in a manufacturing environment Occasional travel and after-hours support may be required based on operational needs Competitive benefits package offered #eli
