6 Aurora, IL Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation Customer communication Computer literacy Lift truck High school diploma or GED Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description The Operational Flow Support Technician acts as the key customer contact for technical support queries regarding the overall automated logistics solution and the Warehouse Control System (WCS). Based at our customer site, this position must coordinate among the onsite maintenance team, the customer, and TGW's support hotline team to ensure all requests are logged within the ticket system and incidents are resolved in a timely manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide professional first-line software support for WCS systems, including capturing log files and database backups for further investigation. Monitor trends and action plans to prevent issue escalation in WCS systems, hardware, and infrastructure. Communicate effectively with senior management, customer contacts, and support colleagues, ensuring issues are followed through until resolution. Escalate problems to the next support level when required and manage the problem until resolution. Drive continuous improvement by addressing ongoing technical issues, reducing call volumes, and maintaining site-specific documentation. Support WCS releases and change requests, monitor hardware for upgrades, and deliver training to colleagues. Collaborate with the broader TGW Lifetime Services team to track, document, and communicate issues and lessons learned. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or Technical Certificate preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience monitoring IT systems and providing application / database support preferred. Skills & Abilities Thorough understanding of Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) in material handling and automation environments Ability to deal directly with end users and translate technical issues into general terms Experience performing log file investigation and/or software debugging. Understanding of the software development lifecycle Familiarity with SQL Databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL) Technical writing skills and experience drafting work instructions Thorough attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving ability. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.) Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk around industrial and/or warehouse environment for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Ability to operate computers, tablets, phones, and other electronic devices. Visual and auditory abilities to work safely with and around moving and/or motorized equipment, machinery, parts, and electricity that require safety protocols Ability to move and use muscles for extended periods of time without fatigue. Ability to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. Ability to communicate regularly with others verbally and in writing. Ability to tolerate exposure to job site temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather in geographic region.
