Description:
Perform duties to support staff on a daily basis and solve various computer related hardware and software issues with workstations, servers and network devices. This is a full-time position working 12 months. Position start date 5/26/2026.
Job Summary:
1. Ensure procedures and work practices follow established standards of security and quality control. 2. Provide daily service to building staff through service requests, by way of the Altiris Help Desk System. 3. Manage service request assignments to resolve incidents in a timely manner. 4. Implement software and hardware solutions developed by System Engineers and System Administrators. 5. Provide level 1 and level 2 support, which would include both basic computer support and intermediate troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and technical references. 6. Utilize Enterprise Management software to administer computers and peripherals including: imaging, software installation and troubleshooting, license management, hardware diagnostics, remote management and end user support. 7. Troubleshoot printer configurations and AV equipment (e.g. Smart Board Interface) configurations and technical issues as needed. 8. Review operation of software/hardware to meet individual system requirements or in relation to entire enterprise as appropriate. 9. Provide recommendations on upgrades or replacements of hardware and software as necessary. 10. Provide instruction and clarification to users on procedures for utilizing computer resources. 11. Document and report systems configuration and operations as appropriate. 12. Collaborate with Network/Telecommunications/Server team on projects or troubleshooting. Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience with Windows desktop/server OS, network protocols and computer hardware break-fix/analysis required along with strong troubleshooting abilities. This position requires the ability to work independently and possess excellent customer service skills. Rate of pay: Starting rate of pay is $26.95 - $36.47, experience will be considered. Final rate of pay will be aligned with those already in the District with similar experience.
