Help Desk Technician CompuTeks Aurora, IL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $17 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Computer operation Operating systems Driver's License Organizational skills Time management Full Job Description Help Desk Technician - Full-Time or Part-Time CompuTeks is looking for a reliable, customer-focused Help Desk Technician to provide technical support to clients both remotely and on-site. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who enjoys helping people, communicates well, and can work independently. This position will troubleshoot a variety of hardware, software, and network-related issues while helping ensure our clients' day-to-day IT operations run smoothly. What You'll Do Provide technical support to clients by phone, email, chat, and in person. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues. Provide both remote and on-site technical assistance. Manage multiple service requests while maintaining excellent customer service. Identify the cause of technical issues and determine effective solutions. Escalate more complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary. Work with other IT staff, departments, and third-party vendors to resolve issues. Follow up with clients to confirm issues have been resolved and they are satisfied with the solution. Maintain accurate and thorough solutions while ensuring no issue is overlooked. Work independently and manage multiple service calls throughout the day. Adapt to new technologies and troubleshooting methods as needed. What We're Looking For Customer Service Clear and professional communication skills. Ability to explain technical issues in simple, easy-to-understand terms. Strong active listening skills. Patience and empathy when working with frustrated or stressed users. A customer-first attitude. Problem Solving Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Creative thinking when standard solutions don't work. Ability to manage multiple issues while maintaining quality service. Strong time-management and organizational skills. Technical Knowledge Strong foundation in general IT concepts, systems, and software. Familiarity with computers and common operating systems. Familiarity with networks and common applications. Ability and willingness to learn new technologies. Field Technician Requirements Valid driver's license required. Must be willing and able to travel to client locations. Travel may include the Chicagoland area, Indiana, and surrounding states. Ability to work independently while traveling between client sites. Ability to manage multiple service calls throughout the day. The Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who is dependable, professional, customer-focused, and enjoys solving problems. You don't have to know everything. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, takes ownership of problems, communicates well with customers, and can think through challenges to find solutions.
