Type:
full-time Our Client is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide day-to-day technical support for employees across our organization. This position is based primarily in our Bradley, IL office, with occasional travel to Kankakee and other company locations as needed. This is a fully on-site position supporting office and offsite employees. The role focuses on user support while assisting with core IT operations. Many employees work in shop and field environments, so the ability to communicate clearly, stay patient, and resolve issues quickly is important.
Responsibilities:
This role is primarily focused on end-user support and workstation troubleshooting. Provide support in person, remotely, and by phone for day-to-day IT issues. Serve as the primary point of contact for technical assistance with computer systems, hardware, and software. Provide individual instruction and/or training to users on new or updated technologies. Assist with onboarding/offboarding employees including account setup and hardware configuration. Assist with hardware refreshes and software rollouts. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner Coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting and system support. Log, track, and resolve IT support tickets; escalate when necessary. Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
1-3 years of IT support or help desk experience. Practical experience troubleshooting Windows desktops and supporting business users. Basic understanding of network fundamentals. Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, operating systems, and business applications. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common technical issues with guidance from senior IT staff when needed. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between company location
Work Environment:
This role supports multiple locations and requires in-person interaction with staff and equipment.
