Job Overview Energize your career as a Desktop Support Technician, where you'll be the frontline hero ensuring seamless technology experiences for users across the organization. In this dynamic role, you'll troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain computer systems, and provide exceptional technical support to empower teams to perform at their best. Duties Respond promptly to user requests for technical assistance via phone, email, or in person, ensuring quick resolution of hardware and software issues Install, configure, and upgrade desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and related hardware components to optimize performance Diagnose and resolve connectivity problems, operating system errors, and application malfunctions with precision and clarity Maintain detailed records of support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions to ensure efficient tracking and follow-up Assist with the setup of new workstations and ensure all devices meet security standards and organizational policies Collaborate with IT team members on system updates, security patches, and infrastructure improvements Support the organization's adoption of emerging technologies by providing training and guidance to end-users Requirements Proven experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles with a strong customer service orientation Solid understanding of computer hardware components, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common software applications Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently while communicating clearly with non-technical users Familiarity with network fundamentals such as Wi-Fi connectivity, VPNs, firewalls, and domain management Knowledge of Quantum engineering concepts is a plus for supporting specialized systems or research environments Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documenting support activities A proactive attitude with the enthusiasm to learn new technologies and improve existing processes Join us as a Desktop Support Technician and become an essential part of a vibrant team dedicated to technological excellence.
