Job Description

Job Title:
IT Software Engineer 3 -
MLOps Platform Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid - onsite 2-3 days/week)
Compensation:
$72-75/hr W2 with medical, dental, vision, and 401k match
Overview:
This role supports the development of a scalable MLOps platform within an enterprise data and analytics environment. The position focuses on enabling the full machine learning lifecycle, from development through production, while improving platform adoption, reliability, and user experience for data science and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and build scalable, secure architectures and pipelines for production ML systems Develop and maintain MLOps platforms supporting model training, deployment, monitoring, and retraining Enable self-service ML development workflows and support platform adoption across teams Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud-based ML solutions (AWS) Monitor model performance, data quality, and concept drift while optimizing system reliability Collaborate with data science, engineering, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment Troubleshoot platform issues and provide documentation and best practices
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with object-oriented programming (Python, Java, or similar) Hands-on experience with MLOps frameworks (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow) Strong experience with AWS and cloud-based ML pipelines Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools Strong collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ML inference systems and advanced deployment strategies Exposure to Terraform or CloudFormation Experience with observability and monitoring tools for ML systems
Additional Notes:
This is a hands-on individual contributor role supporting internal engineering and data teams Candidates must be comfortable working onsite in a hybrid environment and contributing directly to platform development efforts #LI-DO1 #INDOEM
