This position combines network and systems administration, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365 management, and day-to-day technical support across multiple dealership locations. We're looking for a technically skilled problem-solver who takes ownership, works through issues to identify the root cause, and implements solutions that prevent recurring problems. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. This is more than a traditional help-desk position. You'll have the opportunity to work across our entire technology environment, collaborate directly with leadership, and recommend improvements that strengthen reliability, security, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Network & Systems Administration Assist with managing, maintain, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, VPNs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN connectivity. Monitor network and system performance, diagnose connectivity issues, and resolve problems to minimize downtime. Perform hardware upgrades, software updates, system maintenance, patching, and infrastructure improvements. Support Windows-based computers, servers, printers, mobile devices, peripherals, and business applications. Microsoft 365 & Cybersecurity Assist with administering Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Intune. Manage user accounts, permissions, licenses, authentication, and access controls. Assist with maintaining and strengthening cybersecurity protections, including MFA, endpoint security, email security, anti-phishing measures, firewalls, and security updates. Support secure file transfers, including SFTP, and help safeguard company systems and sensitive data. Identify security vulnerabilities and recommend proactive solutions to reduce risk. Technical Support & Troubleshooting Provide timely technical support to employees across multiple dealership locations. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, phone, and connectivity issues. Track, prioritize, and resolve technical issues through a ticketing system or documented support process. Investigate recurring problems, identify root causes, and implement lasting solutions. Support VoIP phone systems, call routing, and related communication technologies. Communicate technical issues and resolutions clearly to non-technical users. Technology Improvements & Vendor Coordination Coordinate with technology vendors, software providers, and outside IT partners to resolve issues and complete projects. Maintain accurate IT documentation, equipment inventory, software licenses, warranties, and network information. Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, cybersecurity, and operational efficiency. Explore and help implement automation, AI, and emerging technologies that streamline processes while protecting company data. Required Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT support, systems administration, networking, or infrastructure management. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, VPNs, firewalls, and LAN/WAN networking. Experience administering Microsoft 365 and troubleshooting Windows environments. Working knowledge of cybersecurity practices, including MFA, endpoint protection, email security, access controls, and patch management. Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues independently. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple issues, take ownership of problems, and follow through to resolution with minimal supervision. A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience, technical training, or certifications will also be considered. Preferred Experience Supporting multiple locations or distributed network environments. Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory, and Group Policy. PowerShell scripting, automation, or system administration tools. VoIP phone systems and call-routing administration. Jira or similar ticket-management platforms. Microsoft, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Cisco CCNA certifications. Experience implementing technology improvements, automation, or AI-based solutions. Why Join World Auto Group? Join our team and play an important role in supporting and improving the technology infrastructure of a growing, multi-location automotive organization. You'll work with a variety of systems and technologies rather than being limited to one area of IT. From network troubleshooting and cybersecurity to Microsoft 365, hardware, communications, and automation, you'll have the ability to make meaningful improvements. We value people who take initiative, think independently, and follow through. If you identify a recurring technical issue, security vulnerability, outdated system, or inefficient process, we want someone who can recommend a solution and help make it happen.
