An IT Specialist or Engineer provides information technology support for a business or organization. Coordinates installation, maintenance and upgrades of computer software and hardware. Maintains computer networks, monitors network security and provides database management. Manages communication with system users and vendors.
We are seeking a full-time, remote IT Security Senior Engineer. The IT Security Senior Engineer will provide security to networks, cloud deployments, data centers and software systems. In addition, this role is responsible to monitor for and mitigate any attempted attacks or breaches. It is expected the IT Security Senior Engineer will stay abreast of developing trends in the field and will propose new layers of protection for any new threats. The IT Security Engineer will have exposure to cyber security projects, including working with project managers and other stakeholders. The IT Security Senior Engineer will be comfortable working with both traditional and new security tools found in all realms of the security world and will be the curious sort that can identify, research, and find solutions to issues or anything that looks out of the ordinary. Any additional responsibilities assigned by leadership Monitor performance of systems with an eye for variances threatening the confidentiality, integrity or availability of them
Monitor and respond to alerts generated by systems and tickets from users
Leverage strong communication and interpersonal skills to maintain healthy liaison with other teams, business partners, vendors and other service providers.
Utilize excellent reasoning skills to evaluate multiple potential solutions to complex problems and resolve security issues.
Develop solutions and processes to track security compliance metrics.
Assist and support project management processes.
Be familiar with and able to support both threat analysis and risk analysis for various purposes.
Document configurations, specifications, processes and procedures for various systems
Perform additional support functions as needed.
Ability to attend and successfully complete training (virtual and/or in person) as required.
Utilizes AI tools to support day-to-day tasks, improve efficiency, and enhance output quality. Adopts new technologies as trained and applies them in alignment with established processes and guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor s degree preferred
Minimum 2+ years of experience in Information Security or related field with a focus on security and/or the investigation or root cause analysis
Industry standard certifications in Information Security, Digital Forensics, or related field preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills
Investigative Mindset (focus on root cause)
Ability to manage complex issues and develop solutions
Detail-oriented, excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple shifting priorities
Strong understanding of attacker tools, techniques, and methodologies. Ability to gather and act on threat intelligence.
Strong collaborative skills and proven ability to work in a diverse team of professionals (e.g. HR, Legal, IT, Information Security, Lines of Business, etc.)
