Yorkville Community School District 115 Technology/Computer Technician Purpose Statement The job of Computer Technician was established for the purpose(s) of receiving, recording and reconciling end users technical questions on the use of technology in a timely manner with a focus on customer service. Essential Functions Answer incoming telephone calls, emails and chats in a courteous and professional manner. Log all phone calls, emails and chat requests into the ticketing system. Assists with a variety of site events, programs, and duties, as needed, for the purpose of supporting the effective and efficient functioning of the school site. Communicates with staff regarding the status of work orders for the purpose of ensuring orders are completed in a timely manner. Maintains site technology equipment and supplies (e.g. site computers and laptops, printers, scanners, LCD projectors, printer supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of site technology equipment for all users. Maintains a variety of manual and electronic files and/or records (e.g. security access; for the purpose of documenting activities, providing reference, and audit trails. Participates in meetings, workshops and/or trainings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions. Prepares a variety of written materials (e.g. procedures, documentation, reports, memos, letters, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information. Responds to inquiries from site personnel on a variety of issues (e.g. help, repairs, upgrades, etc.) for the purpose of providing support, technical advice, and operational assistance. Other Functions Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of district sites.
Job Requirements:

Responsibility Responsibilities include:
working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods. Work Environment The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 35% sitting, 30% walking, and 35% standing. The job is performed under conditions with some exposure to the risk of injury and/or illness and in a clean atmosphere.
