Job Description

About Us Founded in 1994, Analytical Engineering, Inc. (AEI) is an established research, development, and manufacturing organization specializing in engine and component testing. AEI supports a wide range of diesel, gasoline, and alternative fuel engine development programs through in-house testing capabilities and a collaborative engineering approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure test cell software and data acquisition equipment to meet test requirements Create or modify test scripts per test requirements Configure facility and test article safety limits Configure data logging Configure data transfer from ECM Maintain test cell computer, data acquisition and network hardware Diagnose computer issues Assign permissions for customer access to test data Communicate with customer via email or in person to assist with any data related requests Support test technicians with any ongoing support needed Escalate any facility/software related needs to engineering Qualifications BA/BS in computer science or a technical field and/or practical software development experience. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Understanding of imperial and SI engineering units. Able to convert written descriptions of test plans into test scripting. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to program with Java, Python or Ruby. Able to configure and diagnose real time data acquisition, automation and controls systems. Familiarity with internal combustion engines preferred. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to configure and diagnose computers and network hardware. Basic understanding of instrumentation and metrology.
