One year of specialized experience the next lower GS-grade (or equivalent). Specialized experience is experience th has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position and is reled to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. Knowledge of and skill in applying network design principles and concepts, network architecture principles and concepts, network protocols; remote access technology concepts, network operion and maintenance concepts and methods, network management tools, configurion management concepts, practices, network topology concepts; network optimizion techniques. Knowledge of network architecture and topology, including transmission protocols, broadcasting, multicasting, switching, routing, control, and management. Knowledge of, and skill in applying network systems engineering and management methods.
