IT Support Lead, US Location:
Kansas City, MO - on-site Reports to: Director of Security & IT Role Summary We are looking for a hands‑on IT Support Lead to independently own and manage all IT operations across our US region, including our Kansas City office and manufacturing facilities.
Sole US IT owner:
you will be the go‑to for everything from daily Helpdesk support to local infrastructure management, networking, security, vendor relationships, and procurement. You'll report to the Director of Security & IT and will be trusted to run the US IT operation autonomously, escalating strategic decisions as needed. Key Responsibilities Onboarding, Off-boarding & User Lifecycle Own the full employee IT onboarding process: hardware provisioning, account creation, system access, orientation walkthroughs. Manage off-boarding workflows end‑to‑end: account deactivation, license reclamation, device collection, data retention compliance. Maintain and improve onboarding/off-boarding checklists and automation across corporate systems. On‑Site Helpdesk & User Support Provide in‑person and remote technical support to all US employees and manufacturing personnel. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, account, VPN, and access issues. Maintain ticket queues and meet SLA targets; you are the first and last line of support in the US. Site Service & Facility IT Management Manage and maintain all on‑site IT infrastructure at the Kansas City office: network equipment, cabling, AV/conference room systems, printers, access control. Plan and execute site IT projects (office moves, expansions, refreshes). Ensure business continuity for site‑critical systems. Infrastructure & Networking Manage the US network end‑to‑end: switches, Wi‑Fi, VPN, firewalls, and connectivity. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues independently; configure and maintain firewall rules and security policies. Coordinate with HQ on global infrastructure alignment. Endpoint, Asset & Security Management Deploy and maintain laptops and workstations (macOS, Linux, Windows) with deep Mac and Linux troubleshooting expertise. Track hardware inventory, replacements, spares, peripherals, and accessories across the US. Manage endpoint security tools (EDR, MDM, Intune, ManageEngine EndpointCentral), ensure device compliance, OS patching, and security posture. Apply and enforce identity & access management policies via M365, Entra ID, and corporate SaaS platforms (least‑privilege model). Vendor & Procurement Management Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers (ISPs, hardware suppliers, MSPs, SaaS vendors). Evaluate, select, and onboard new vendors when needed. Execute all US‑region IT procurement (hardware, software, services) within approved budget guidelines. SaaS & Collaboration Tools Provide admin‑level support for Microsoft 365, Zoom, Slack, Atlassian, and other collaboration platforms. Manage licenses, permissions, and integrations across the SaaS stack.
