IT Endpoint Services Assistant Posting Details Position Information Title IT Endpoint Services Assistant Position Description Department Information IT Endpoint Services manages end-user data and software applications assuring accessibility at any time, from any place, and from a secure and reliable BSU-issued endpoint device. Position Information Student employees will be trained to troubleshoot a variety of account and computer issues such as: Providing in person technical support to faculty, staff, and students assisting customers with logging into their accounts or password resets fixing printer issues installing software assisting with the laptop loaner program You may be assigned to assist with the support of audio-visual equipment in campus classrooms and meeting spaces. Students are to respond to the classroom to provide immediate assistance and resolution. Tickets and reports are to be updated accordingly.
Additional responsibilities include:
troubleshooting technical problems documenting, testing, uninstalling and reinstalling new computers other projects as assigned Ongoing maintenance and testing of equipment is also required to prevent classroom interruption. It is mandatory to maintain integrity of assigned accounts, access, and permissions. A respectful and professional attitude is also expected. Beyond the training, you will be part of a team that plays a critical role in the daily IT operations on the BSU Campus. You may be at the IT Service desk and/or in the field. Eligibility requirements Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester. Preferred Qualifications 1. Must be punctual, reliable and detail-oriented. 2. Excellent customer service skills. 3. Strong technical, audiovisual, troubleshooting, writing and multimedia skills. 4. Maintain a good academic standing. 5. Ability to work independently and to learn quickly. 6. Knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) Chrome, Edge, Safari Operating Systems (Windows, Mac, Chrome) Blackboard InfoBear Anti-virus software Navigating BSU Website Software Support Printer Support Physical Demands Ability to lift 25 pounds Special Conditions for Eligibility Please be aware that employment at Bridgewater State University is contingent upon completion of a successful background check.
