Summary :
Verigent's client is seeking a motivated IT Support Technician to provide onsite technical support within a hospital environment in Brockton, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level or early-career IT professional with CompTIA A+ training/certification.
Responsibilities :
- Provide onsite technical support to hospital staff and end users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and basic network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, phones, and other IT equipment.
- Support VoIP phones and telecommunications systems, including moves, adds, changes, and basic troubleshooting.
- Assist with workstation deployments, equipment replacements, and technology upgrades.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, cabling, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Create, update, and maintain service tickets and technical documentation.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT, network, or telecom personnel as needed.
- Provide professional and responsive customer service to clinical and administrative staff.
- Follow hospital IT procedures, security requirements, and safety protocols.
- Assist with other onsite IT and telecommunications projects as assigned.
Qualifications :
- 1+ year of IT support, help desk, desktop support, telecommunications, or VoIP experience preferred.
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent training strongly preferred.
- VoIP, PBX, telecom, or telephone-system experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting Windows computers and common peripherals.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Ability to lift, move, and install standard IT equipment as required.
