Job Description
We are seeking Commissioning Technicians to support start-up, testing, and validation of automated material handling systems at a distribution and fulfillment sites. Due to an accelerated project timeline, this role requires a candidate who can mobilize quickly. 4 Project locations: San Antonio, TX
- Night shift; Worcester, MA
- Night shift; Los Angeles, CA
- Night shift; Philadelphia, PA
- Day shift
Shift:
10-hour shiftsTravel:
Local to project sites preferred; travel/per diem support available for qualified out-of-area candidates.Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings Verify wiring terminations, motor rotation, and sensor alignment Perform I/O checkout and device-level functionality testing Support PLC and HMI integration testing efforts Assist with system balancing, tuning, and optimization Document testing results, issues, and progress in commissioning logs Support punch list activities and system turnover documentation Participate in safety meetings and enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO) proceduresDeliverables:
Completed device verification checklists I/O testing and system functionality reports Daily commissioning status reportsQualifications:
2+ years of experience in commissioning, controls, or industrial systems (preferred) Experience in the material handling industry (conveyors, sortation, automation) strongly preferred Basic understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and electrical systems Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work night shift, 10-hour shifts Available for immediate/rapid mobilization Contract length 3-8 weeksPay:
