Our work has expanded quickly in compliance, development, and network security, and we are adding three technicians to keep pace. Our team is diverse, our clients are demanding in the best way, and the problems we solve get more interesting every month. Required Qualifications Working comfort in Microsoft 365 administration: users, licensing, mailboxes, groups, permissions, and the basics of SharePoint and Teams Understanding of how a network fits together: IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, switching, wireless, and firewall rules Windows desktop and Windows Server troubleshooting Ability to document your work so the next person can follow it Ability to explain a technical problem to a non-technical person without frustration on either side Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, since client sites are part of the job Willingness to take on unfamiliar problems and see them through Preferred Qualifications Security hardening experience: baselines, patching, MFA and conditional access, endpoint protection, least privilege Familiarity with a security or compliance framework such as CIS Controls, NIST, HIPAA, PCI DSS, or CMMC Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+, or a vendor certification from Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, Sophos, or Ubiquiti Experience with RMM and PSA tools, backup and disaster recovery, or virtualization Responsibilities Support and administer client Microsoft 365 environments Support and maintain client networks including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, VLANs, and VPNs Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and access issues from the endpoint through the network Set up, configure, and document workstations, servers, and network hardware Work tickets from intake through resolution with clear notes and clear communication to the client Travel to client sites for installations, troubleshooting, and scheduled work Follow our documentation, security, and change control standards consistently Training and Experience Experience helps but it is not the deciding factor. We provide on the job training, and new technicians shadow experienced technicians and supervisors through an extended ramp-up before working independently. Support does not stop when that period ends. We have had strong results developing people this way and we would rather hire the right attitude and train the skill.
