Provides hands-on desktop, peripheral, and software support, including imaging, deployment, relocation, and STIG-compliant configuration of end-user devices across ATEC locations. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, monitors, printers, and multi-function devices Image systems with the current approved operating system baseline and perform user data backup, restore, and hard drive recovery Apply software, firmware, security updates, vendor patches, IAVAs, CVEs, and STIG settings using Government-provided tools Deliver, pick up, and relocate end-user devices at the service desk and at the user's place of duty Support operating systems including Microsoft, Linux, UNIX, macOS, Apple iOS, and Android Coordinate and verify vendor warranty repairs and report completed actions Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (minimum) U.S. citizenship Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office software Active Secret clearance (Tier 3 / T3R); interim Secret required before starting DoD 8140 / 8570.01-M baseline certification appropriate to the assigned work role and level, held prior to performance, with the required computing environment (CE) certification obtained within six (6) months of appointment.
