Full Job Description Overview:

A private family office based in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking a reliable and hands-on Technology Assistant to provide day-to-day support across personal and home-office technology environments. This role requires a proactive, service-oriented individual who can troubleshoot issues, coordinate with external providers, and ensure technology runs smoothly for the principals and their teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide onsite technical support for personal devices (laptops, phones, tablets, printers, etc.) Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner Support and maintain home-office technology setups, including AV, networking, and smart home integrations Coordinate device setup, upgrades, and maintenance Act as a liaison between the family office and managed service providers (MSP) and other external IT vendors Assist with new technology implementations and ensure seamless integration across environments Maintain organization and documentation of devices, systems, and support processes Be available for ad hoc technical requests and urgent troubleshooting needs

Qualifications:

2-5+ years of hands-on IT support experience, preferably in a private, executive, or high-touch environment Strong knowledge of Apple and Windows devices, mobile platforms (iOS/Android), and basic networking Experience troubleshooting home-office or residential technology setups is a plus Ability to coordinate with third-party IT vendors and service providers Excellent problem-solving skills with a high level of discretion and professionalism Strong communication skills and a service-first mindset Ability to be onsite in Baltimore and travel occasionally to

London and Florida Preferred Attributes:

Experience working in a family office, private household, or executive support environment Familiarity with AV systems, Wi-Fi/network optimization, and smart home technologies Highly organized, responsive, and detail-oriented
