- Serves as an Information Technology Specialist responsible for supporting the various telecommunications network/data/voice systems serving the disbursed missions of the 114th Signal Battalion.
- Maintain complete knowledge regarding all circuits and systems of the SOC operation.
- Provide customer support on bridging, routing and inter-operability.
- Develop and provides training programs on the LAN/WAN facilities.
- Utilize network management facilities to monitor end evaluate backbone LAN performance.
- Attend routine and regular SCI level meetings and/or Video Teleconferences, and participation in working groups.
- Develop architecture and modernization initiatives supporting the geographic combatant command.
- Advise and participate in the activities of the shift utilizing appropriate test equipment to troubleshoot circuit problems and to contact other centers or tributary stations to inform of problems and coordinate corrective actions.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access for the duration of employment.
- This position is subject to alert and operational recall and periodic work schedule changes to meet daily mission operational requirements.
- Incumbent is required to provide a reliable method of contact/communication (e.g., telephone/pager) and respond within 1 hour of notification receipt.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
