What we're looking for Technuf is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior IT Desktop Support Technician.
Job Description:
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Senior IT Desktop Support Technician to assist in resolving the approximately 10,000 help desk tickets received each year at DHHS IT. This position would join the DHHS IT Operations Team, which is responsible for the bulk of touch-labor support for nearly 2,500 staff spread over about 50 locations and 211 Montgomery County Public School Health Rooms and 12-16 school-based health and wellness centers.General tasks:
- Advanced level desktop support including Operating System (OS) imaging, hardware, software, mobile device deployment, troubleshooting, documentation, inventory, computer relocation, commercial off the shelf (COTS) and internal applications support, A/V support, and other duties as assigned.
- Contractor will provide staff with experience in: o
Windows OS Administration:
Windows10/11 Enterprise. o Desktop support including Hardware/Software troubleshooting in Windows Active Directory and enterprise domain environments, as well asvarious VDI solutions. o Knowledge in troubleshooting enterprise printers o Knowledge in rapid deployments, OS imaging, mobile devices, MS Office365 Suite familiarity and various COTS software packages. o Virtual Private Network support. o Experience in using helpdesk ticketing systems, i.e. ServiceNow or Remedy.- Many DHHS employees telework, so the contractor should be familiar and able to provide remote support using telephone and/or MS Teams.
Requirements:
- Knowledge in desktop support, hardware, software, and mobile devices.
- VPN and Remote management tools
- Windows OS imaging & Microsoft tools
- Experience using a ticket management system, especially ServiceNow;
- Experience providing remote support
Education:
- BS or BA degree (in a technical field is a plus) from an accredited college or university.
- Verifiable Technical Certifications
- CompTIA; HDI; ITIL;
