Back IT Technician Desktop Support Biddeford , Maine Temp Per Hour May 19, 2026 $20.00 - $35.00 Our Biddeford, ME client is seeking an independent, self-motivated IT Technician to support and maintain the company's desktop and workstation environment within a manufacturing setting. This a fully on-site position. Responsibilities Install, configure, maintain, and support desktops, workstations, and thin clients Image and deploy Windows-based workstations Maintain and track workstation inventory and asset records Provide end-user support for production and office employees across multiple campus buildings Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues Support Microsoft Office applications and other internal business systems Utilize tools such as Active Directory, Windows Deployment Services (WDS), VMware, and related technologies Maintain and update IT tickets, documentation, and project tasks Perform ongoing maintenance and upgrades within the desktop environment Coordinate with vendors to support software updates and system improvements Collaborate with the IT team on incidents, service requests, and project initiatives Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field 1-5+ years of experience in an IT support or desktop support environment Experience installing and supporting desktop operating systems and applications Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products Basic understanding of IT security best practices Fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and network troubleshooting Strong problem-solving and customer support skills in a fast-paced environment Pay range for the role is $20-$35/hr.
