Job Description

Overview Our client is seeking a Support Technician to join their growing IT team. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for technical support requests, providing exceptional customer service while troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and desktop-related issues. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and able to communicate technical concepts clearly to end users. This is an onsite position with a collaborative team environment that values flexibility, positive attitudes, and professional growth opportunities. Responsibilities

+ Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, desktop, and basic networking issues.

+ Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.

+ Install, configure, and support Windows client operating systems and desktop devices.

+ Assist with setup, deployment, and maintenance of end-user equipment.

+ Support Windows Server environments and basic networking functions.

+ Diagnose issues related to POS (Point of Sale) systems and associated hardware.

+ Document incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps within the ticketing system.

+ Provide technical guidance and training to end users as needed.

+ Maintain accurate technical documentation and asset records.

+ Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvement.

+ Participate in hardware refreshes, workstation deployments, and user onboarding activities. Required Qualifications + 2-3 years of experience in a Help Desk, Service Desk, or Technical Support environment.

+ Experience supporting Windows desktop/client operating systems.

+ Working knowledge of Windows Server environments.

+ Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

+ Experience with ticketing systems and technical documentation.

+ Strong customer service and communication skills.

+ Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.

+ Strong note-taking and documentation habits.

+ Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

+ Passion for technology and a desire to continue learning and growing in IT. Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience supporting POS systems.

+ Exposure to Active Directory user administration.

+ Familiarity with remote support tools.

+ Understanding of IT best practices and security principles. Soft Skills

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $55000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
