Job Description
Job Summary Install system software upgrades include planning and scheduling, testing and coordination. Perform workstation and server administration set up. Coordinate disk space planning and management. Maintain growth statistics, space forecasts, tape libraries and software and hardware inventories. Perform data backups and recoveries. Maintain proper software and hardware inventories. Responsibility Complete assignments from the Service Desk efficiently and effectively as possible within assigned priority to meet standards of performance. Troubleshoot and resolve office desktop issues. Act as the face of IT at the facility and route issues or work with other members of the IT department as necessary to resolve issues in a timely manner. Inform IT Network Administrator of any issues that require their involvement. Purchase software or hardware for the facility according to standards and purchasing procedures. Ensure licensed software is used within the facility and the information is maintained in the licensing database. Setup and install all network attached equipment at the facility. Maintain software and hardware on desktops within the facilities including Office Automation software, Anti-Virus, PC management software per the Desktop Setup Checklist. Maintain an up-to-date hardware and software inventory for the facilities utilizing the methods prescribed by Corporate IT Management. Support unique systems within the facilities such as local
