We have been providing technology solutions and IT support to Michigan businesses since 1989. Our services include managed IT services, cybersecurity, networking, servers, cloud solutions, hardware, software, and onsite technical support. We are looking for an Entry-Level IT Technician who is eager to learn, enjoys solving technology problems, and wants to build a long-term career in IT. The Opportunity This is more than a help-desk position. The successful candidate will begin by handling Level I technical support calls and tickets and, with training and experience, progress toward becoming a Level II IT Technician . You will work directly with our experienced technical team and have opportunities to gain hands-on experience with computers, networks, servers, Microsoft technologies, cybersecurity, cloud services, printers, and other business technology. What You Will Do Respond to Level I help-desk calls, emails, and support tickets. Troubleshoot Windows computers, laptops, printers, peripherals, and common software issues. Assist users with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and other business applications. Perform basic network troubleshooting involving switches, Wi-Fi, routers, and connectivity. Set up, configure, and deploy computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. Install software, perform updates, and assist with hardware replacement. Create and maintain accurate documentation of technical issues and solutions. Escalate more complex issues to Level II/III technicians when appropriate. Visit client locations for onsite troubleshooting and equipment installation. Learn and develop skills in networking, servers, cybersecurity, cloud services, and managed IT support. Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with clients. Participate in ongoing technical training and certification programs. What We Are Looking For We are open to two types of candidates : Recent IT/Computer Science Graduate Associate Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Internship, school lab, personal projects, or other hands-on IT experience is a plus. Strong desire to learn and build a career in IT. Good communication and customer-service skills. Ability to troubleshoot problems logically and patiently. Candidate With IT Experience Approximately 1-2 years of experience in help desk, desktop support, field service, or a similar IT role. Experience troubleshooting Windows computers and common business applications. Basic understanding of networking concepts. Comfortable working directly with customers and users. Desire to advance from Level I toward Level II technical responsibilities. Required Qualifications Associate Degree in Computer Science, IT, Networking, Cybersecurity, or a related field OR equivalent hands-on IT experience . Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and computer hardware. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability. Good verbal and written communication skills. Professional appearance and customer-service attitude. Ability to work independently as well as as part of a team. Valid driver's license and a good driving record. Ability to drive a company vehicle to client locations. Ability to occasionally lift and move computer equipment and other IT hardware. Preferred Skills Experience or familiarity with any of the following is a plus: Microsoft 365 Windows 10/11 Active Directory Networking and TCP/IP DHCP and DNS Wi-Fi troubleshooting Microsoft Azure Virtualization Backup systems Cybersecurity Printers and peripheral devices Remote support tools CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certifications You do not need to know everything listed above.
