Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Application Support specialist to provide hands-on support for enterprise applications. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys resolving technical issues, improving application performance, and partnering with both business and IT teams to keep critical systems running smoothly. The role focuses on production support, user access administration, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement across business applications.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administration and support for enterprise applications used in a production environment.
- Investigate application incidents, identify root causes, and deliver timely resolutions to minimize business disruption.
- Carry out system updates, configuration changes, and application enhancements while maintaining platform reliability.
- Track, prioritize, and resolve service desk tickets in alignment with established service expectations.
- Collaborate with users and stakeholders to understand business needs and recommend practical system improvements.
- Plan and execute testing activities for new features, upgrades, and application changes before deployment.
- Create and maintain clear documentation, including support procedures, system records, and user guidance materials.
- Contribute to project work by assisting with analysis, requirements definition, and functional documentation.
- Support operational processes related to change management, problem management, and configuration control. Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in application support, systems analysis, or enterprise systems administration.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- Working knowledge of enterprise application support practices, including user provisioning, maintenance, and issue resolution.
- Experience with Microsoft environments, including Microsoft Windows and Windows 10, as well as Active Directory.
- Familiarity with service desk ticket management and basic troubleshooting in a support-driven environment.
- Understanding of relational databases, software testing, and structured change management processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Oracle experience and exposure to enterprise business applications are considered an advantage.
