Job Description

Otter Tail Power Company is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Supervisor of End User Support to oversee our frontline technology team and help shape the future of our end‑user experience. As the Supervisor of End User Support, you will guide a talented team responsible for supporting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and other endpoint technology across the organization. You'll ensure the timely resolution of incidents and service requests, maintain service excellence, and champion best practices that keep our systems secure, reliable, and efficient. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with other IT groups, provide technical leadership, drive proactive device management, and support corporate initiatives that improve how our employees leverage technology every day.
What You'll Do:
Lead and mentor a team of Help Desk Specialists, ensuring strong performance, service quality, and customer focus. Oversee daily IT support operations and enforce service level agreements (SLAs). Supervise internal control responsibilities while managing key support processes. Provide advanced technical guidance and resolve escalated issues. Manage device lifecycle activities, including provisioning, patching, configuration, and replacement. Coordinate incident and problem management, including root cause analysis. Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, troubleshooting steps, and known issues. Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to ensure reliable and secure endpoint operations. Drive continual improvement through data analysis, process enhancement, and training initiative.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred—particularly within IT support. Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical users. Collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to guide a team with clarity and confidence. Flexible, adaptable, and able to navigate shifting priorities in a dynamic environment. A passion for creating a positive end‑user experience.
