Desktop Support

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in Mounds View, MN that is seeking a Desktop Support. The Desktop Support will provide onsite and remote support for IT infrastructure and end-user technology, including:

• Workstations, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and peripherals
• Network equipment, wireless access points, routers, switches, servers, storage, and backup appliances
• Telephony and mobile communication devices Duties also include:
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace hardware and software issues for supported devices
• Coordinate workstation imaging, OS deployments, upgrades, and refresh cycles
• Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and other enterprise desktop applications
• Provide printer, copier, and fax support including connectivity, troubleshooting, toner replacement, and vendor coordination
• Assist with wireless access points, VPN connectivity, and mobile device support

REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in IT end-user or infrastructure support
• Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and remote support tools
• Strong troubleshooting skills for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and support users at all levels

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting enterprise or distributed IT environments
• Exposure to networking, wireless, VPN, or telephony support
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior technicians The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.

We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
