Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic IT support team as a Desktop Support Technician and become the frontline hero for technical assistance within our organization! In this energetic role, you will deliver essential support to ensure seamless computer operations, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and maintain our IT infrastructure. Your proactive approach will help empower employees to work efficiently and confidently with their technology tools. Responsibilities Provide timely and effective technical support for desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices across various operating systems including Windows and macOS. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues related to computer hardware, printers, network devices, and other peripherals. Assist users with software troubleshooting, including Microsoft Office applications, VPN setup, firewall configurations, and operating system updates. Manage computer management tasks such as software installations, updates, and inventory tracking using help desk tools like ServiceNow or Jira. Support network connectivity issues by configuring LAN (Local Area Network), Wi-Fi, and VPN connections; escalate complex network problems to specialized teams when necessary. Maintain security protocols by assisting with firewall settings and ensuring compliance with IT infrastructure standards. Document all support activities accurately in ticketing systems like BMC Remedy or ServiceNow to ensure clear communication and follow-up. Collaborate with the IT team to improve existing processes and contribute to the overall health of the organization's IT infrastructure. Experience Proven experience in providing IT support or help desk services in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Hands-on experience with computer networking concepts such as LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and troubleshooting connectivity issues. Familiarity with computer hardware components and repair procedures. Experience using ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira for issue tracking and resolution documentation. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users. $26.17 - $31.52 per hour
