Family Support Specialist Mgr.
STATUS:
Full-Time
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
: Provides lead level oversight of Family Support activities, coaches and mentor staff. This position does not include formal people-management authority (e.g., hiring, discipline, evaluations).

JOB SUMMARY
The Family Support Specialist III provides comprehensive family support services, coordination of community resources, and promoting economic self-sufficiency among residents. This role serves as a subject matter expert and team lead , supporting quality service delivery, data integrity, and outcomes while collaborating closely with the Family Support Manager to guide strategy and continuous improvement.
JOB RESPONSIBLTIES
Conduct resident intake, assessments, goal setting, and ongoing case management . Provide individualized support, referrals, and advocacy to promote family stability and economic self-sufficiency. Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all privacy and data protection requirements. Coach and mentor family support staff to strengthen service quality and consistency. Serve as a resource for complex or high-risk cases and escalate issues as appropriate. Analyze data and develop strategies with the Family Support Manager. Provid e resources and knowledge for clients to access capital, including loans for financial goals like housing and consumer products, to build credit, reduce debt, and support wealth growth through entrepreneurship. Hosting in-person and virtual seminars for clients seeking financial literacy management resources and capital access. Supporting and promoting the development of the
USI CDFI
client base .
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience, Master s preferred. 5 years of nonprofit or human services experience. Valid driver s license and access to a car for work. Ability to handle privileged information confidentially. Strong independent and teamwork skills. Availability for evening/weekend events and travel. Excellent verbal and written communication. Proficient in facilitating group processes. Strong organizational and time management skills. Data analysis for resident-driven program designs. Respect for confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.
