Role:
Technical Support Specialist Position Description PARIC is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our IT team and provide day-to-day technology support to employees across our office and field operations. This position will serve as a key point of contact for employees experiencing technology-related issues and will assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, mobile devices, and other IT systems. The Technical Support Specialist will work closely with the broader IT team to resolve issues, support technology deployments, and help ensure our employees have the tools they need to work effectively. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career who enjoys problem-solving, working with people, and gaining hands-on experience across a variety of technologies and systems. Responsibilities Provide remote and in-person technical support for employees experiencing hardware, software, system, and mobile-device issuesTroubleshoot and resolve support requests, escalating more complex issues as appropriateAssist with deployment, replacement, and configuration of laptops, workstations, smartphones, tablets, and related equipmentSupport Microsoft 365 applications and user administrationAssist with Active Directory user and account administrationSupport mobile device and laptop management through Microsoft IntuneTroubleshoot basic network and connectivity issuesAssist with phone and mobile carrier administration, including Verizon and AT&TSet up technology for new employees and provide basic technology orientation and trainingSupport office workstation setups, including monitors, docking stations, peripherals, and cable managementAssist with conference room technology, including Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and Crestron systemsSupport cybersecurity practices and tools, including MFA and antivirus solutionsDocument issues and resolutions and help maintain IT processes and proceduresPeriodically travel to PARIC jobsites to assist with technology setup and troubleshooting
Skills and Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience0-2 years of IT or related relevant experienceStrong interest in technology, troubleshooting, and IT supportExcellent communication and customer-service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical usersStrong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skillsAbility to troubleshoot problems and identify practical solutionsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamWillingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needsAbility to periodically travel to local jobsites as needed
Preferred:
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Windows environments, or mobile-device supportBasic understanding of networking and cybersecurity concepts Why Join Us?
