USFC - Test Engineer / IT Test Weekend Technician (Weekend Shift) Position SummaryThe IT Test Engineering Technician serves as the primary operational and technical point of contact between Production Operations, Information Technology, and Test Engineering teams. This role provides hands-on support for production workstations, test systems, hardware, software, networking infrastructure, peripherals, and manufacturing applications. The technician is responsible for ensuring rapid issue resolution, minimizing production downtime, maintaining system reliability, and driving continuous improvement within the production environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the first point of contact for production-related IT and test engineering support issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, network, and peripheral issues affecting production operations.
Support desktops, laptops, workstations, test stations, monitors, docking stations, scanners, printers, barcode scanners, label printers, Zebra printers, and manufacturing equipment.
Install, configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and production software.
Perform PC imaging, system deployment, OS provisioning, and workstation setup according to standard configurations.
Install, configure, and maintain device drivers, BIOS/UEFI settings, operating system updates, and security patches.
Troubleshoot Ethernet, LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and other network connectivity issues.
Utilize diagnostic tools, Event Viewer, Computer Management, Task Manager, Command Prompt, PowerShell, Remote Desktop, and other administrative utilities to identify and resolve system issues.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot local and network printers.
Track, document, prioritize, and resolve incidents through a ticketing system while maintaining accurate support records.
Assist with process documentation, technical procedures, troubleshooting guides, and work instructions.
Collaborate with Production, IT, Engineering, and Leadership teams to ensure operational continuity and support production goals.
Identify opportunities to improve support processes, increase system reliability, and reduce downtime.
