It's a place where you can build a career and help people at the same time. About the Role We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Technical Lead - IT to join our team in Fargo, ND. This role serves as both a technical expert and team leader, responsible for guiding the day-to-day operations of IT while shaping the organization's long-term technology strategy. You will play a critical role in ensuring that systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with the needs of a growing, mission-driven organization. In this position, you'll balance hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities such as supporting end users, managing infrastructure, and leading projects from concept through completion. You'll collaborate across departments to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, stronger data practices, and smarter use of technology, all while fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness and digital confidence across the organization. Salary:
$65,000 - $74,000, DOE Key Responsibilities Lead daily IT operations while providing direction, support, and mentorship to team members. Oversee and maintain infrastructure across hardware, software, networks, and cloud environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and security. Plan and execute IT projects that support organizational growth, including system improvements, upgrades, and new implementations. Provide hands-on technical support and ensure timely resolution of issues through effective ticket management and documentation. Manage user access, system configurations, onboarding/offboarding processes, and overall technology lifecycle management. Strengthen cybersecurity practices through monitoring, risk assessments, training, and adherence to compliance standards. Develop documentation, training materials, and best practices to enhance user experience and organizational technology adoption. Partner with internal teams and external vendors to support business intelligence, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including systems administration, infrastructure, and end-user support. Proven ability to lead IT operations and manage projects in a dynamic environment. Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and cloud/hybrid environments. Solid understanding of networking (LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, switches). Experience with cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance best practices. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value. Self-starter with a high level of ownership, adaptability, and curiosity for emerging technologies. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
