DEVOPS ARCHITECT SME

The work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of
USSTRATCOM. USSTRATCOM
is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environment. You will play a crucial role in providing support in the following areas: Oversee the integration of security practices into all phases of application deployment. Design and implement secure architectures, ensuring that both systems engineering and cybersecurity are prioritized throughout the application deployment and upgrade lifecycle. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to embed security considerations from inception through delivery, aligning DevSecOps principles with

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Security Clearance Level:
Must have a current/active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Poly and TS/SCI status
Required Certifications:
ITIL Foundations v5 Certificate and DoD 8140 Certification within 9
Months Location:
Offutt AFB, NE Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Application Server architecture in a large enterprise environment using WebLogic, JBoss, WebSphere, or similar class server systems Broad understanding of web technologies to include application and web servers, load balancers, browsers, protocols, data formats, markup and programming languages, and SSL Experience with administering application server architectures in large enterprise environments utilizing WebLogic, JBoss, or similar servers Familiarity with the Linux command line and Linux architecture Secure architecture design and systems engineering experience Cybersecurity engineering and risk management Strong knowledge of CI/CD technologies and automated security testing Familiarity with containerization, orchestration, and cloud environments Knowledge of AFNWC, J6, or similar DoD mission system environments Understanding compliance frameworks, industry standards, and audits Experience with vulnerability scanning, static/dynamic analysis, and IaC security Strategic planning, prioritization, and execution Cross-functional team collaboration and stakeholder alignment Ability to evaluate and improve DevSecOps pipelines Experience with automation, migration strategies, optimization software, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, analytics, and business teams, with strong communication and problem‑solving skills

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
