Full Job Description Description:
The number one purpose of everyone on our team is to make our clients exceptionally happy and the IT Field Service Technician plays an important role in fulfilling that goal. The IT Field Service Technician handles escalated support requests from the Network Operations Center (NOC) that need to be handled on-site. They are assigned support requests they cannot handle or any issues that require an onsite presence.
Requirements:
Major Roles and Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair client's hardware. This includes but is not limited to workstations, servers, and various networking equipment. Install, maintain, troubleshoot software packages specific to the client's industry. Install, maintain, troubleshoot Microsoft Office 365 software offerings. Maintain and troubleshoot AV, printing, telephony, and other IOT devices. Effectively collaborate and communicate with engineers and service team on issues. Provide customer training as required. Maintain high level of quality and standards on all installations performed. Provide additional assistance to the Service Desk by responding to tickets, answering phones, and following up on emails. Ability to solve problems and address challenges, independently and as a part of a team. A deep desire and passion to deliver an awesome experience to the client. The ability to keep-up with and adapt to the fast-paced IT world. Organize and manage parts and tools. Document installation and repairs. Ensure safety best practices are being followed. Participate in the on-call rotation. Some after-hours support may be required on short notice. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements A high school diploma or equivalent (vocational/technical/business school background is strongly preferred). Minimum of two years of experience in a client facing role. Minimum of two years of experience in the IT field preferred. Familiarity with the use of various hand and power tools such as but not limited to, drill, hammer, screwdriver, etc. Familiarity with MS Office Suite Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to lift 70lbs. Good judgment is required. Strong organizational skills are required. Exceptional customer service skills are a must. Additional Notes Probationary period of 90 days. Individuals with a felony or misdemeanor convictions MAY not be hired. Individuals must not have any alcohol or drug-related convictions or suspensions within the past three years. Individual must be able to read and understand instructions in English as well as possess good oral and written communication skills. Individual must be able to pass a drug and physical screening as well as background requirements. Individual must be available to work variable hours and willing to travel locally.
