Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a vSp Systems Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite required) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX or Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, implementing and troubleshooting VM migrations within a large-scale production VMware based cloud service. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with VMware vSp in aplex enterprise environment and will be required to work on weekends and evenings as needed.

Responsibilities:

Schedule, coordinate, implement, and troubleshoot VM migrations

Plan and implement large technical projects related to the VMware environment

Follow, define, document, and implement technical procedures

Communicate and work with global teams within a large organization

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience supporting and troubleshooting issues for VMware vSp 7.x and 8.x
• Strong networking, infrastructure knowledge, and troubleshooting ability
• Experience in executing technical strategy and working in a high-pressure environment
• Strong understanding and experience with security and authentication of VMware and hardware interfaces
• Strong understanding and ability to work in an ITIL Framework
• Experience supporting HCX
• Excellent oral and writtenmunication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organization skills
• Ability to work required weekend and evening hours
• Pay range: $67.36 - $75.36 per hour
