Full Job Description Summary/Objective:
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing hands-on, on-site technical support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the firm's technology systems. This role supports employees with hardware, software, and network issues, maintains IT equipment, and helps optimize system performance across the organization. Essential Functions
  • Provide daily on-site technical support for staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, and network connectivity issues
  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related help desk requests and respond in a timely manner
  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Support the firm's virtual server environment to ensure system reliability, performance, and security
  • Administer and maintain SharePoint, including permissions, document libraries, workflows, and user access.
  • Support and troubleshoot design software and tools commonly used in an architecture environment such as BlueBeam, Revit , etc .
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and accessacross systems
  • Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees, including equipment setup and system access
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors or managed service providers when needed
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and recommend replacements or upgrades
  • Document common issues and solutions to improve efficiency and user experience
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and basic security practices
  • Assist with small IT projects, office setups, and technology improvements
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud systems, and endpoint management.
  • Experience managing Microsoft environments (Microsoft 365 Platforms including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff and leadership

Required Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree in a computer-related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum of five years of experience with the most current industry, technologies and products Preferred Education and/or experience:
  • Experience working in an Architecture/Design firm
  • Experience working in software design
Pay:
$66,000.00 - $86,000.00 per year
