Job Description

Job Summary:
This is not a remote positon. Must report daily to office in Silver City, NM Come joing our team! As an IT Technician, you will provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist in maintaining the overall functionality of the organization's IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person. Support the organization's cybersecurity initiatives by assisting with endpoint security, vulnerability remediation, user access management, security awareness efforts, and adherence to established security policies and procedures. Assist users with hardware and software issues, troubleshooting problems to resolution. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals. Assist in the setup and maintenance of local area networks (LANs). Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues. Support users in accessing and utilizing network resources. Install and update software applications on user devices. Perform routine maintenance on computer hardware, including upgrades and repairs. Assist in managing inventory and tracking hardware assets. Maintain accurate records of support activities, hardware, and software inventory. Document troubleshooting procedures and solutions for future reference. Provide basic training to end-users on the use of hardware and software. Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework or a degree in a relevant field is a plus. Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and common software applications. Familiarity with networking concepts is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey technical information to non-technical users. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges. We have an excellent benefit package.
