$26-$30/hr Summary Company is seeking an experienced IT Systems & Operations Support Specialist to provide hands-on IT and Operational Technology (OT) support within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role combines traditional desktop and infrastructure support with plant-floor technology troubleshooting, ensuring seamless operation across IT and automation systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong service mindset, broad technical expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical users. Key Responsibilities System Support & Troubleshooting (45%) Provide onsite and remote support for end users, resolving issues across desktops, laptops, servers, network devices, and peripherals. Manage escalated Service Desk tickets, documenting actions and resolutions in the ticketing system. Perform imaging, software installations, hardware replacements, and peripheral setups per company standards. Deliver consistent, professional communication and build strong user relationships across departments. Infrastructure & Operations Support (45%) Assist the Infrastructure and Network teams in maintaining local IT assets, including switches, access points, printers, and cabling. Support backup and disaster recovery solutions, virtualization environments (Hyper-V, Azure HCI), and Windows server operations. Partner with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure reliable connectivity between IT and OT systems. Maintain compliance with security protocols, data handling standards, and corporate IT policies. Operational Technology Support (10%) Support factory systems such as SCADA, PLCs, DCS, HMIs, and other industrial control platforms. Collaborate with OT engineers to monitor and troubleshoot connectivity and data integration between IT and production systems. Contribute to incident response, cybersecurity initiatives, and root cause analyses within industrial environments. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of hands-on IT operations, infrastructure, or technical support experience. Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Azure services, and core networking concepts. Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V, Azure HCI) and backup/disaster recovery systems. Excellent problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills. Preferred Experience supporting industrial control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS, MES, AVEVA, Wonderware, Client iFIX). Familiarity with IoT device management and cybersecurity principles. Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco preferred.
