Job Description
Job Summary Information Technology Title:
IT Business Support Specialist I Report to:IT Business Support Supervisor Location:
Farmingdale, NY Status:
Full-time Brief overview: Assist and work with the IT Business Support Team for National Convenience Distributors (NCD) to support all current IT business functions from help desk support to reporting. Responsible for running daily processes in a timely fashion. Provide basic help desk support for all our technology solutions via phone and email. Assess company needs and report on possible system and business challenges prior to potential dangers.Essential Job Functions and Duties:
- Triage and support all help desk tickets related to all IT business support requests.
- Answers support desk calls and enter trouble tickets for immediate remediation.
- Provide Level I direct IT support for external and internal end users o Basic email, telecom, network and desktop troubleshooting o Mobile applications support both internal and external o New user setup support
- Supports given IT operational policies, procedures and positive client satisfaction
- Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship and effective communications with all end users.
- Pre-book loading and maintenance as required by sales and purchasing departments.
- Support the merchandising team by printing product labels as requested.
- Create and send out product scan sheets to customers.
- Program Bluetooth scanners and assign to clients as needed. Track inventory levels.
- Run and format sales and pricing reports as required on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Attend and work in the HLA Technology Booth at company trade shows.
- Provides backup support as necessary during vacations and other teammates absences'
- Assist with special projects as needed

- Familiar with ERP and WMS systems
- Oracle systems a plus
- Must have intermediate to expert level Microsoft Office Skills, especially Excel
- Ability and willingness to learn new systems/applications
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information technology or recent certifications in job specific areas or hands work experience a plus
- 2-5 years experience working in an office environment
PERCENTAGE OF TIME SPENT
50% of the week spent managing and triaging Help Desk tickets 20% of the week providing customer support via phone, email, etc. 15% running business related reports 15% working with other departmentsPay:
$20.00- $22.
