  • $27 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Operating systems Technical documentation Computer hardware ServiceNow IT Full Job Description Well Known Investment Bank located in Manhattan, New York is seeking a highly motivated, experience Computer Desktop/Helpdesk Support Specialist to join their internal IT team immediately during shifts either 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
This is considered a temp position at start for at least 3 months that can turn into a perm position at any time. Qualified candidates must have knowledge & experience supporting normal end-user desktop related issues in the corporate environment. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual that can easily turn into something more, so if interested, please send resume asap.
Job Overview:
As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to the bank's employees, ensuring their computer systems. printers & software are functioning properly. This is a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and productivity of the bank. Troubleshooting AD logins, password resets, Window updates, cloning machines, O365 (word, Excel and Outlook), troubleshooting remote client issues, etc.
Duties:
  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, operating systems, and applications
  • Set up and maintain user accounts in Active Directory
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and backups
  • Document technical procedures and create user guides
Experience:
  • Proven experience in IT Desktop support
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications
  • Familiarity with Active Directory administration
  • Experience with help desk ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
Pay:
$24.00
