Job Description

IT Team Lead Ossining, NY $71,217 a year $71,217 a year Are you a hands-on IT leader who enjoys solving complex technical problems while helping others grow APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Ossining, NY looking to add an IT Team Lead to their already amazing team. This is an onsite position where the primary responsibility will be to lead the Desktop Support team by providing technical guidance, resolving complex issues, and ensuring timely and effective support for user-reported incidents and service requests. Amazing benefit package once hired in permanently Medical, Dental and Vision 401K Paid vacation What your day will look like: Lead and develop Desktop Support team members by mentoring, coaching, and strengthening technical skills. Respond to user-reported issues and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and customer support. Manage and expedite support tickets to maintain efficient workflow and service levels. Independently resolve moderate to highly complex technical issues without assistance. Provide hands-on desktop support and troubleshooting as needed across the organization. Support team operations including weekend and on-call coverage as required. Promote best practices and continuous improvement within the Desktop Support function. Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues and supports IT projects. Provide end-user support across in-office, remote, and home environments. Troubleshoot hardware, software, malware, and system issues. Document and resolves incidents accurately, including security-related tickets. Work with vendors and ensures proper IT inventory management.
What we are looking for:
Associate's degree in information technology required; equivalent experience may be considered. CompTIA A+ certification required. 5+ years of Helpdesk or IT support experience. Strong knowledge of Windows and Apple desktop environments with ability to mentor team members. Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, VPN, Microsoft Entra ID, and Azure. Skilled in AV support for Microsoft Teams meetings and conferencing equipment. At Apex, we actively encourage applications from underrepresented groups.
