Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Senior Turbine Support Engineer with extensive experience in GE Steam Turbines to join our team. This role requires deep technical expertise and leadership in turbine systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Provide advanced technical support for GE Steam Turbines and related systems. Investigate and qualify suppliers, ensuring compliance with stringent quality and performance standards. Troubleshoot and diagnose complex turbine performance issues, ensuring optimal reliability and uptime. Advise engineering, procurement, and customer teams on turbine components, system integration, and equipment functionality. Review and process complex quotes, specifications, and purchase orders for turbine parts and services. Collaborate with suppliers, inspectors, and engineers to address material inspection, substitution, and standardization efforts. Develop and review test plans to validate component and system performance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for turbine performance, lifecycle management, and cost optimization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Advanced degree preferred). 10+ years of experience in turbine engineering, with at least 7 years focused on GE Steam Turbines. Proven track record in troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization of steam turbine systems. Strong ability to interpret engineering assembly and manufacturing drawings. Expertise in supplier management, procurement processes, and technical negotiations. Excellent communication and leadership skills for cross-functional collaboration. Familiarity with turbine control systems and auxiliary equipment. Experience in root cause analysis and reliability engineering. Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements for steam turbines. Added value from certifications/training in areas like, Plant Maintenance, Quality Control, Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines, Generators, GE Field Engineer Program, Upgrades and Rerates, Project Management, Turbine Installation, Turbine Repairs.
Work Environment:
Office-based with occasional site visits and travel as required. Moderate noise level. Frequent interaction with customers and vendors via email and phone. $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
